Soprano singer
ATSUKO MATSUI

ATSUKO MATSUI is a soprano singer from Japan. With degrees, - both bachelor’s and master’s from the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo, Atsuko then completed the course at the Opera Training Institute of the New National Theatre of Tokyo. Later, she received a grant from the Nomura Foundation and went to Mantova, Italy. She was the first ever Japanese soloist at both the Venice and the Treviso International Organ Festival in Italy and was praised by the papers as “having a warm, rich voice that descends from the heavens.” Since the start of the pandemic, Atsuko has returned to her home country where recitals and concerts have kept her busy. Now, along with her operatic and lyrical songs from the West, Atsuko always includes Japanese songs in her program. “There are so many beautiful songs in Japan that do not get sung much any more. I want my audience to remember - or even newly discover - the Japanese soul". Atsuko debuted in 2016, as Leonora in G.Verdi's "Il Trovatore”, directed by Lorenzo Mariani and Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andrea Battistoni. In 2018, Atsuko appeared in the Japan tour of G.Verdi's "Aida" conducted by Andrea Battistoni and directed by Giulio Ciabatti. Atsuko performed "Charity Chapel Concert 2022" at Anniversaire Omotesando Chapel with the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. In the same year, she won the President's Prize of the Giuditta Pasta Foundation at the 1st Giuditta Pasta Memorial Kumamoto Reconstruction International Opera Singers Competition. In 2023, she was a finalist at the Giuditta Pasta International Opera Competition in Italy and received a scholarship award.

Dai Komatsu

Dai came across Irish traditional music in 2004 and visited Ireland 2 years later and stayed in county Clare where the traditional music is prosperous. There he studied traditional music from the well-known local fiddle player Pat O’Connor. He performed on the biggest stage of St. Patricks' Day in Tokyo in Yoyogi Park in 2018,19,23. In 2019, he established Ode.inc, a company which produces music events and it has produced several outside events in various places. The company also was in charge of some important promotion of the Rugby World Cup 2019. he studied at the Aichi University of Arts.

Harpist
Shinobu Narita

As a harpist, she performs solo and in support of orchestras, choirs and theatre productions on numerous occasions. She also runs 'Harp Clubs' in Mitaka City, Saitama City and Tsukuba City, where she teaches harp performance from young children to senior citizens. She has conducted more than 60 'online harp clubs' to date, sharing the traditions and trends of Irish harping, and organising harp sessions to enjoy the repertoire. She is the first Japanese harpist to compete in the Fleadh Cheoil (Fleadh Cheoil/Irish International Music Competition) main competition in 2019. December '20 Gold prize in the harp category of the CCE Japan organised online music competition. Aug '21 Second prize at Flead Fest in Sligo, Ireland. She graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts with a degree in instrumental music (harp) and completed a master's degree in instrumental music (harp). She is a member of the Japan Society for Music Education, the Japan Harp Society and the Musicians' Association of Ireland.
